£18,000 available for young peoples media production!
Groups of young people from all round Wiltshire are developing ideas with creatives towards productions for exhibition in February. An information and ideas event takes place on Thursday 30 September in Chippenham.
Each group is coming forward with ideas based around the theme of ‘Dreams and Journeys’ and related to a significant issue or concern. The young people have linked up with digital media producers who are helping them develop and focus ideas. The groups are funded from the Challenge, receiving up to £1000 to pay for resources and expert support.
The Mega Media Challenge supports the development of short films, sound and photographic projects, games and all kinds of web based content. Six ‘early bird’ teams are already up and running. Applications are open for a further 18 teams. Closing date is Tuesday 5 October. Representatives from all prospective teams are expected to attend the information evening at Wiltshire College Chippenham on Thursday 30 September.
