A group of lesbian gay and bi- teenagers got together earlier this year to explore their experiences and make some campaigning media, the Turning Points project came out of this with the animation their first product.
“The Corridor” was well received and is now in distribution nationally with ChewTV and will be used by the Wiltshire based support group 2BMe. This project enabled the team to work with professional animators Evil Twin Artworks and a producer at Creative Wiltshire.
Turning Points developed from the animation work, young scriptwriters from the region were invited to join the project. With expert input from Skins director EstherMay Campbell and other media professionals the team developed a series of scripts. Over an intensive two day workshop in the summer sun at Wiltshire College’s Lackham House three new scripts were developed.
The project is supported by First Light, and developed as a partnership between Suited and Booted Studios and Creative Wiltshire. The young people were supported by Reach in Bath. The team are now building production funds for the scripts.
